As of January 1, 2026, the Aadhaar PVC card service fee has been raised by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). This implies that consumers using the myAadhaar portal or mAadhaar mobile app to purchase the sturdy, credit-card-like Aadhaar PVC card would now have to pay extra.

What's the New Price?

  • Previous Fee: ₹50 (including delivery and GST)

  • Starting on January 1, 2026, the new fee will be ₹75 (including GST and Speed Post fees).

All orders placed through official UIDAI channels are subject to this increased cost.

What Caused the Increase?

According to UIDAI, since the service started, the price of supplies, printing, safe delivery, and logistics has increased. The cost has been adjusted to ensure PVC Aadhaar cards are delivered in a dependable and high-quality manner.

An Aadhaar PVC card: what is it?

An Aadhaar PVC card is a credit card-sized Aadhaar that is printed on sturdy plastic and made to be long-lasting, resilient, and water-resistant. It has the same legal validity as an e-Aadhaar download or a standard paper Aadhaar letter.

Quick Steps for Online Ordering

  • Open the mAadhaar app or navigate to the myAadhaar portal.

  • Select "Order Aadhaar PVC Card."

  • Enter your VID or 12-digit Aadhaar number.

  • Verify with your registered cellphone number's OTP.

  • Use net banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI to pay ₹75 online.

  • Within five business days, your PVC card is printed and delivered to the address you have entered.

Important Information

  • Delivery and taxes are included in the ₹75 fee; if you order online, you won't be charged extra for rapid post.

  • The increased pricing will be applied to all orders placed starting on January 1, 2026.

  • Similar to regular Aadhaar, PVC Aadhaar cards are accepted worldwide.

Conclusion

For consumers who want a long-lasting and affordable Aadhaar option, the Aadhaar PVC card pricing increase to ₹75 represents a little but significant adjustment. Even though the price has gone up from ₹50, home delivery and GST are still included, making it dependable and easy. Be ready to pay the updated fee if you intend to order or replace your Aadhaar PVC card after January 1, 2026. The PVC Aadhaar card is still a safe, durable, and commonly used identity document for daily use despite the increase.
